Never Buy a Second-Hand Puzzle.

Of all the fan-mail, stories and pictures we receive on a daily basis, this one was particularly disturbing.  This photograph, from Hal Riemenschneider of Farfington Valley, Utah, is nothing short of a punch in the face.  Hal, an avid puzzle enthusiast, noted in his letter that he recently purchased this 30 piece puzzle entitled Chili Dreams, from local thrift shop "Value Dump".  Hal would soon realize that after hours tedious work, the once 30 piece puzzle only contained 29 of its delicious pieces.

"I shook the box several times at the store and it seemed like all the pieces were there." wrote  Riemenschneider in his 10 page letter to Chili Chat.  "I'll never buy a puzzle at a thrift store again.  You just can't be sure that the previous owner respected that puzzle or puzzles in general."

Parts of the letter read like a madman's deposition, complete with anti-semitic and racial remarks, thoughts on bringing down the government and even detailed plans of breaking into the PuzzCo. headquarters and holding its CEO for ransom. Which, for the record, we highly discourage.

Well, now it's time for us to give back. This is a clearly distraught individual, that we can't help but feel sympathy for. We have used our resources and influence to track down that missing piece for you Mr.Riemenschneider. It will be mailed to you along with the officially licensed Chili Chat windbreaker you ordered.  We understand the frustration of missing a puzzle piece.  Especially for such a beautiful and challenging puzzle.

Cheers!
